Prepare for birth through your body.

Move Into Birth is a somatic birth preparation workshop for pregnant people and their partners — combining birth physiology with movement, breath, touch, sound, and practical tools for meeting whatever birth brings.

Berlin · London · Virtual

Vocalization & Breath-Work, Massage, Physiological Understanding, Somatic Movement, Hypnobirthing, & Intimacy Practices.

You can't know exactly how birth will unfold.

But you can prepare to meet it.

Move Into Birth offers a different kind of birth preparation.

Together, we guide you through what happens during labour and birth while giving you space to experience those possibilities through your body.

We move, breathe, make sound, work with touch, explore positions, practice with partners, and learn about the physiology of birth — including vaginal birth, induction, interventions, and caesarean birth.

Rather than preparing you for one particular kind of birth, we help you develop more options, more awareness, and more confidence to respond to what comes.

No previous movement experience is needed.

Together, we’ll explore:

  • movement and positions for labour and birth

  • breath and vocalisation

  • touch and counter-pressure

  • partner support

  • relaxation and hypnobirthing practices

  • birth physiology and the stages of labour

  • caesarean birth and changing circumstances

  • communication, choice, and agency

  • confidence in your own rhythms and responses

moving & vocalizing & feeling & breathing

through your birth

Body-based, Doula-led

Know about birth & practice how you can meet it.

Clinical birth education can tell you what happens during labour and what choices you may encounter. Move Into Birth gives you a space to practice meeting those experiences through your body.

We combine birth physiology with movement, breath, touch, sound, vocalisation, and somatic exploration. You won’t be asked to memorize or perform. Instead, you'll be invited to develop a wider range of tools, sensations, and responses that you can draw on as labour unfolds.

Move Into Birth might be for you if...

  • You're pregnant and want more than a conventional antenatal class.

  • You want to feel more connected to your body during pregnancy.

  • You want practical tools you can actually use during labour.

  • You're curious about movement, breath, sound or touch in labour.

  • You want your partner to feel confident offering physical and emotional support.

  • You're interested in physiological birth but don't want preparation to become prescriptive.

  • You're planning a hospital, birth-centre or home birth.

  • You're planning a vaginal birth or a caesarean.

  • You're preparing for your first birth or approaching another birth with new questions.

  • You're looking for an English-language birth preparation experience in Berlin.

You don't need to be planning a particular kind of birth to benefit from this practice.

The Doulas

Sarah Entwhistle

Doula · Bodyworker · Artist

Sarah was born in the UK and spent most of her life in London, where her children Leni (14) and Marlowe (11) were born. Many of the tools and practices she brings to her work have profoundly influenced her own transitions and personal growth over the past two decades, complemented by diverse life experiences and initiations. In her twenties, she trained and worked as an architect and design educator. Later, during the early years of parenthood, she shifted my focus to sculpture. Sarah continues to practice and exhibit as a fine artist.

Since relocating to Berlin in 2017, Sarah has pursued doula mentorship with Camalo Gaskin of Doula Pathways and bodywork training with Barbara Droubay of Animano. Through ROOTBORN, she honours a lifelong calling to support individuals through their various birth cycles, guiding them to reconnect with their intuitive wisdom.

Cristina Leoni-Osion

Full-Spectrum Doula · Dance Artist · Facilitator

Cristina (they/she) is a practicing interdisciplinary dance artist, full-spectrum doula, community facilitator, body-worker, and educator based in Berlin. They are a white, queer, femme, Mediterranean descendant, lover of the sea, parent and partner, born on the lands of the Powhatan Confederation. They received a B.F.A. in Dance and Choreography from VCU in 2013 and have worked as a performance artist in NYC, Berlin, and Richmond.

In 2016 they began their doula journey practicing mutual aid with the Richmond Reproductive Freedom Project, then collectively founded the Richmond Doula Project, where they worked as a full-spectrum doula. Supplementing a primarily folk-apprentice approach, they also trained with Ancient Song Doula Services, Center for Doula Pathways, and Doula Trainings International. Cristina is honored to continue to accompany pregnant people and their loved ones as a full-spectrum doula and hosts monthly Abortion Storytelling Circles at Schokofabrik Frauenzentrum.

Together

Cristina and Sarah bring complementary practices to birth preparation: dance and movement, somatics, bodywork, doula care, hypnobirthing and reproductive justice.

Their work is rooted in bodily autonomy, lived experience and collective care, recognising that birth is both deeply personal and shaped by the systems and communities around us.

More Offerings

1:1 Somatic Birth Preparation

These personalized sessions draw directly from our Move Into Birth approach, reconnecting you to your body-intelligence through movement, breath, and somatic awareness. Rather than memorizing techniques, you’ll develop a felt sense of safety, rhythm, and openness. Together we explore instinctual movement, natural pain management, vocalization, partnered touch, and breathing practices so preparation becomes embodied, responsive, and deeply personal.

Doula Accompaniment

Our full-spectrum doula care is grounded in the same embodied philosophy as Move Into Birth, offering continuous support that honors both physiology and lived experience. We support you in staying connected to your body’s rhythms through labor using somatic tools, positional support, breath, sound, and intuitive movement as they naturally arise. This care is expansive and adaptive, helping you meet birth with trust, responsiveness, and confidence in your body’s capacity.

Postpartum Processing Session

These sessions offer a gentle, embodied space to process pregnancy, birth, and early postpartum through somatic reflection rather than analysis alone. Drawing on movement, breath, and body-based inquiry, we help you sense into what your nervous system and tissues are holding—without rushing meaning or resolution. The focus is integration and grounding, supporting you to reconnect with yourself and your body as you transition into postpartum life.
